SQUIZ & CO (@squizandco) is an online Australian art brand founded by Melbourne Artist/Photographer Nancy Louise in 2021. It is home to Nancy's gorgeous photographic prints, art prints and original art, in addition to some stunning art prints from aspiring and established Australian artists.
SQUIZ & CO (@squizandco) makes it possible to own a piece of quality, beautiful art at an affordable price. All printing and framing is done by some fab local businesses in Melbourne, Australia.
"I live in Melbourne's inner eastern suburbs with my husband and two sons. With a passion for interiors and coastal style, I have always been a creative at heart and have won various awards for my creative pursuits and in my respective fields. I am primarily a self-taught artist and have studied natural light photography intensely.
Since my childhood years I have spent my summers on the Mornington Peninsula which has created my love of the coast. I am immersed in superb, ever changing sunsets, sunrises, skies, landscape and sea which is where I draw my inspiration. I have also developed a love of the beautiful turquoise waters, inlets, ports and villages in Greece; courtesy of family travels.
I work with oils, acrylic, ink and mixed media; depending on the nature of the artwork.
You may be wondering why the name Squiz & co. Well, I used to nickname my eldest son 'Squirrel' when he was a toddler. Over time it became versions of Squirrel such as 'Squiz' and 'Little Squiz'. When brainstorming a gorgeous name for this venture with my beautiful friend Caz, Squiz & Co just fitted so perfectly because squiz means 'to look at' and that's what we do to art on our walls; plus it has special meaning to me. The 'and co' part is the other talented artists that will be popping up on Squiz & Co, beginning with my gorgeous friend & talented artist, Caz and growing from here."
